Full Ingredients List

Every jar of Bind contains nine ingredients — nothing more. Below is the complete INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) list, what each one does, and everything you should know before using it.

What is INCI?

INCI stands for the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients — a standardised naming system used on cosmetic labels worldwide so that ingredients can be identified consistently regardless of language or country. It's why ingredient lists often look unfamiliar: "Butyrospermum Parkii Butter" is simply the INCI name for shea butter.

We list our ingredients in INCI format on every product label, as required by cosmetic labelling regulations. Below, tap or click any ingredient name to see what it is, where it comes from, and why it's in your Bind.

All three jar sizes (Classic, Luxury, Travel) share this exact same formula — only the amount changes, not the recipe. Scented variants contain the same nine ingredients; fragrance is achieved through the natural properties and subtle blending of these oils and butters, not synthetic additives, unless otherwise noted on an individual product's label.

Sourcing & Quality

Every ingredient is chosen deliberately — we don't use filler oils, synthetic emulsifiers, parabens, sulfates, or artificial preservatives. Where an ingredient can vary in grade (such as shea butter, which ranges widely in quality), we use unrefined or minimally refined sources to preserve its natural nutrient content wherever practical for a stable, safe finished product.

As a small, handcrafted operation, batches are made in limited quantities rather than mass-produced — which means fresher stock, but also means minor natural variation between batches is normal and expected (see below).

Natural Variation

Because Bind is made from natural, minimally processed ingredients rather than synthetic ones, you may notice small differences between batches — a slightly different shade of cream, a subtle variation in scent intensity, or a change in texture with temperature. This is a normal characteristic of genuinely natural formulations, not a defect. Shea butter in particular can range from ivory to pale yellow depending on the harvest.
